Miami
"Miller was virtually a unanimous All-America selection last year, breaking practically every pass receiving mark in Miami U. (Fla.) history. His college coach said, 'He is the greatest end I have coached and seen since starting my long career in football.'
The six-foot wingman, although double-teamed, caught seven passes for 114 yards against Penn State, five for 107 yards against Navy and six for 60 yards against Tulane. Bill also was a brilliant blocker and no less sensational on defense."

Coach Saban shares the excitement of Buffalo fans over the acquisition of the high-powered pass receiver from the AFL champion Texans. A second-year pro drafted second by Dallas in 1962, Bill gave but a sample of his great potential with a 12.0-yard average on 23 receptions.
This Miami Hurricane broke just about all of his school's passing records, including the all-time single pass receiving record, and was a nearly unanimous All-American.
