Strong Safety
No. 26
Rutgers
"Jones was the third leading interceptor for the Bills last year with three thefts which he returned 13 yards. Selected to the UPI and Pro Football Writers All-NFL Rookie teams, he appeared in 12 games with the Bills, missing two with a leg injury.
Ed was picked up on waivers from Dallas in the preseason and was tried at both cornerback and safety before settling at strong safety. A ninth round draft pick of the Cowboys in 1975, he plays the run very well.
Ed set a Rutgers record with 14 career interceptions and was an All-East selection. He played with the Bills' basketball team over the winter."
